When you set your clocks back on Nov. 1 at the end of daylight saving time, don’t forget to change your smoke-alarm batteries at the same time. The same holds true for any carbon monoxide detectors you might have. Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors save lives, but they don’t work very well if they have dead batteries. So remember, when you fall back , take the time to swap out your batteries. It’s a simple way to keep you and your family safe.
